Thoughts From Our Students’ Hearts

As we enter Christmas break, we wanted to share with you thoughts some of our students wrote in one of their classes on what they are thankful for.

  • I’m thankful for the United States and the freedom we have to be Christians.
  • Faith Christian School is something else I am thankful for. I appreciate how the teachers care about the students and that we are able to openly talk about God in school.
  • I am most thankful for God’s love for me. He never lets go of me and loves me unconditionally.
  • I am grateful for the school and education that I have now. I am thankful that my family has been able to send my siblings and I to a good school with people who are like minded and a curriculum that teaches what we agree with.
  • I am thankful for my cats, house, family, basketball, Faith, Jesus Christ, and Xbox ONE because they are all things that I use on a daily basis. I usually take these things for granted, especially Jesus. I forget constantly why I am a Christian and I always wonder why. I guess it’s normal when you aren’t constantly reminding yourself how thankful you are for the blessings in your life.
  • I’m thankful just to be alive. Every breath and everyday is given to me from God and I am thankful for the life I have.
  • School is also something I am thankful for, even though I may not like it. Some people don’t have the privilege of going to school and I do.
  • Thanks to my parents… they have given me a house to live in and many other things. Although, it is not their giving that I take gratitude over. I will admit that I get angry at them, quite frequently at times. Here is the catch; even if I get angry, I know that they care about me and all they want for me is for me to grow old in God’s faith. I say now and any other day, thanks to my parents… I have been taught well and prosper in the house of God.
  • For wonderful school – Yeah, yeah… school. In reality though; if not for school I would not be able to speak or write proper English. Also school has introduced many fabulous opportunities for my life ahead. Most of all I thank school for its truly wondrous teachers who give their time for us. Thank you for your efforts and your patience.
  • I appreciate creativity foremost because God started creativity when He made the universe, the earth and all that live on it. Secondly, I am an artist and I find joy in observing the world around me.
  • I am thankful for my family for many reasons. They have been with me through all the struggles that I have had in life. My parents have always been encouraging to me, and they want to see the best for me. I am extremely grateful for their kindness towards me in hard times and their patience with me when I was being rebellious. My parents have been there to guide me during hard times and my sister has been a great friend. I am very thankful for my family and I will miss them deeply when I am away at college.
  • I am very very grateful for everything God has given me. He has provided me with a great family that loves each other and is willing to work through conflicts. My friends are an amazing support group and a never ending source of fun.
  • I am thankful for my family, my friends, teachers, and pastors because I can learn from them and they always have my back. I am thankful for my house, my school and food because not everyone has that blessing and I am very blessed compared to some even in America.
  • More than often, we take the things we have for granted! This thought should be removed out of our minds. Every single blessing we have has come from God. As 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” we should be thankful even of the things we don’t like.
  • So many things I don’t deserve but have, one of those is my family. God has given me an awesome family which loves me and cares for my good, both spiritually and physically.
  • School, something which a lot of people seem to don’t like. Those people aren’t appreciating what they are getting. Sharing with your friends and being an educated human being and in a Christian school is far much more than we deserve.
  • Jesus is the reason why I have a purpose. He paid the price no one could pay for us. This should be the thing we should be the most thankful for. We have been saved from eternal doom.
