Faith Kids @ Home: April 27, 2014

The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, April 27.  We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.

The Philippian Jailer Is Saved

Passage:  Acts 16:16–40

Principle:  There is a joy that comes only through knowing Christ.

Praise:  “Rejoice in the Lord Always”

Prompt:  Ask your child these questions:

  • What happened while Paul and Silas were in prison?
  • How did the jailer demonstrate that he had believed?

Practice:  Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

  • By making a list of the reasons why Christians can rejoice.
  • By showing a thankful heart by singing to God.

This Week:  As a family, read Acts 16:16–40.

Next Week:  Acts 17:16–34

Memory Verse:  So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31)

** Preschool verse in bold print
