Hi, my name is Micayla Zeger, and I will be a junior at Faith Christian School next year. I’ve been attending Faith since I moved to Indiana in 2006 as a fourth grade student.
Before we even came to visit the school my mom knew she wanted us here, but she also knew there was a slim chance we could afford it on our own. This fact didn’t faze the people at Faith at all. They were going to do all they could to help us. My mom was working three jobs at that point. No matter what, she does her absolute best to ensure we have a strong education and a loving, Christian environment. Due to the overwhelming generosity from friends of Faith, my mom is now able to pick us up after school, spend much more time with us, and watch us in extracurricular events. No words can describe how absolutely thankful I am for Faith and the assistance program that has allowed me to be here for 7 years.
Each day you walk into the school building you are greeted with a smile and taught not only by words but by actions. The teachers at Faith have always been willing to take time from their day to discuss topics that matter eternally. I can’t even count the number of afternoons I’ve spent after school in the chemistry lab seeking advice and finding answers to my questions in the Bible when Mrs. Hume could have been doing plenty of other things.
Without the sacrifices of other families, my sister and I would not be able to attend Faith. I am so extremely thankful for the people who have given in the past, and for those who will continue to give in the future. I know for a fact I serve a God who has a perfect plan for my life. Thank you for being a part of His work in me. You have no idea the impact you have on so many students. Thank you for giving even when it was hard. Thank you for allowing students to receive an education that is focused on eternity, and thanks for teaching me what it means to be a true servant of the Lord. I hope and pray that God blesses you over and above how you have blessed my family and me.
I can’t say it enough, but thank you.
