God Prepares Israel for the Covenant
Passage: Exodus 19
Principle: God is worthy of fear and reverence.
Praise: “Our God Is an Awesome God”
Prompt: Ask your child these questions:
- What did God promise Israel?
- What did Israel promise God?
- Why were the Israelites not allowed to go on the mountain?
- How did God reveal His presence?
Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:
- By fearing and respecting God because He is holy.
- By obeying God’s Word wholeheartedly.
- By thanking God for making people His treasure.
