Freeing Truth: Part 15

As our series on Truth comes to a close, we hope you have truly been encouraged by all of the resident testimonies of God’s freeing Truth! We have touched on so many of His Truths, but we have still only scratch the surface. We would encourage you to dig into the Bible yourself and find as much Truth as you can, to experience real, abundant, freedom!

We will close by sharing some truths that one of our residents pulled out of scriptures that mean a lot to her, and also the reflections of another regarding the power of Truth in her own life.

Mark 7:8 For you ignore God’s law and substitute your own tradition.

Truth shows me what I am responsible for.

Mark 7:15 It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.

Truth shows me what truly harms me.

Romans 14:4 Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.

Truth shows me who is the true Judge.”

All of these Truths help us to know how to live, how to fight sin, and Who is in control. We are responsible for our own complete worship of the Lord, and He takes care of others. These are such freeing truths in our everyday lives!

“I have come to know that God’s Truth is undeniable. There is no one other than Jesus who can change my desires and the direction of my life. I need redemption, a heart change. I know that God offers this, and that He changes me inwardly. He is stable and secure, my reliable Rock (Psalm 61:2-3)”

How awesome it is that the Bible is sufficient to give us Truths to live by in every area of life! Join with me in searching the Bible daily for its amazing, freeing Truths!

Bethany Dunn
Bethany heard about Vision of Hope while attending Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When she began praying about what God wanted her to do after graduating, He kept bringing Vision of Hope to her mind. Knowing that there was an internship available, Bethany applied, was accepted, and began her internship with VOH in July, 2012. Since then she has been amazed at the opportunities God has given her to learn more about His Word and how it applies to everyday life. Bethany now serves on staff at Vision of Hope.
