Cheap is good, Free is better

You’ve all heard that saying, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. In today’s economy, there is not much of a free anything. But here at Faith Community Center, in addition to our  low rates, we are happy to offer several services free of charge to members of our community. Here are just a few:

Walking Track

Our elevated indoor walking track is open 5am-10pm Mondays through Fridays, 8am-6pm on Saturdays and noon – 5pm on Sundays. This is a wonderful way to work out and avoid the stifling heat! 13 laps = a mile, and you can walk or run. You don’t need a membership, stop by anytime!

Open Gyms

We also have two gyms, the Main Gym and the Multipurpose Gym. The Main Gym is a full size, wood floor gym with bleacher seating for 800. The Multipurpose Gym has synthetic floor for leagues and group exercise. These are free to use to play basketball or volleyball anytime we are open, just call ahead and make sure no groups have them reserved.

Family Fun Night

We saved the best for last. Family Fun Night takes place every Friday from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and gives families an opportunity to participate in many exciting activities free of charge including:

Swimming

Our pool has a variety of features to ensure that people of all ages can enjoy it.

  • Lane pool for lap swimming
  • Zero depth to four foot decline to allow easy entrance for swimmers with walkers and wheelchairs
  • Spray features in shallow depth for safe, fun child play
  • Water jets and underwater bench seating for hydrotherapy or relaxation

The pool is available for use until 9:30 p.m.
Please bring a towel.

Board Games

Bring your favorite board game or enjoy one of the many we have on hand and join others in some good competitive fun.

Gym Time

Families can enjoy pickup games of basketball, horse, 21 or around the world, or just a leisurely shoot around.

So there you have it, a host of ways to have fun and stay in shape that won’t cost a cent. Enjoy!
