VOH Fun Facts – Our Graduates!

We hope you have been enjoying learning a little more about our program through our “Fun Facts” blogs! Perhaps you have has questions about our program you have never asked, and we hope these blogs have been helpful in answering some of those questions!

By far some of the most exciting events we have are our graduation ceremonies. When a young lady goes through our entire program and has shown significant heart change and continuous victory over sin, that is a time of great rejoicing over what God has done in her life! During our graduation ceremonies, each graduate shares her testimony and receives a beautiful ring inscribed with a word that was picked by her counselor to help her to remember the person God has transformed her to be. Since opening, we have had 69 young ladies graduate our program, 3 of which were just this year! Some of them have gone on to further their education, work in ministries, or been involved in helping other hurting young women around them. Many of them have gotten married and started families. Whatever God has led them to do after graduating our program, it is always exciting and encouraging to see God’s work in their lives.

Please pray for our graduates today. When a young lady completes our program, that does not mean that she will never experience temptation again. Like all of us, temptation is there, and we all have the choice to obey and seek after God, or to seek after something else. Pray that all of our graduates will stay strong in the Lord and will always strive to learn more about Him and remember everything they were taught during their time with us. May God bless each of them and use them greatly for His kingdom!

Bethany Dunn
Bethany heard about Vision of Hope while attending Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When she began praying about what God wanted her to do after graduating, He kept bringing Vision of Hope to her mind. Knowing that there was an internship available, Bethany applied, was accepted, and began her internship with VOH in July, 2012. Since then she has been amazed at the opportunities God has given her to learn more about His Word and how it applies to everyday life. Bethany now serves on staff at Vision of Hope.
