Volunteers – We Need YOU!

November is Stewardship Month at Faith Church, and we are reminded of 4 important Principles of Stewardship:

  1. God owns everything, you own nothing.
  2. God has entrusted you with everything you have.
  3. You can either increase or diminish what God has given you, He wants you to increase it.
  4. Some day you will give an account of your stewardship, and it may be today.

As we think about the fact that God wants us to steward our time, talents, and resources for His glory, we think one great way to do that is to become involved in serving the Lord through ministry! One way you can be involved in ministry is to become one of our volunteers!

Our volunteers bless us so much and help to keep Vision of Hope up and running, and there are many ways to get involved! There are opportunities to help our interns to supervise the residents throughout their schedule and connect with them. Other needs include helping behind the scenes with filing or data entry. Still other help is needed with shopping or couponing. If you have a specific gift, such as teaching, mentoring, crafting – anything! – we would love to talk to you and see how you would be able to use your gifts and talents here at Vision of Hope! There are many, many ways to get involved, and we need YOU!

Here’s how to get started in volunteering for Vision of Hope:

Coming up on November 17th, we will begin conducting volunteer training for anyone who is interested in helping out in our ministry. Training runs for three consecutive weeks November 17th – December 1st on Tuesday evenings, 6:30pm – 9:00pm. To join in this training, please download our Volunteer Application and send it to Vision of Hope by November 16th.

For more information about our volunteer training or ways you can be involved, please contact Heather Starkweather at (765) 447-5900.

We are so thankful for each of our volunteers who sacrificially give of their time and abilities to serve us and make an impact for the Kingdom!

Bethany Dunn
Bethany heard about Vision of Hope while attending Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When she began praying about what God wanted her to do after graduating, He kept bringing Vision of Hope to her mind. Knowing that there was an internship available, Bethany applied, was accepted, and began her internship with VOH in July, 2012. Since then she has been amazed at the opportunities God has given her to learn more about His Word and how it applies to everyday life. Bethany now serves on staff at Vision of Hope.
