Faith Kids @ Home: November 1, 2015

The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, November 1. We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.

God Is Glorified by Protecting Judah

Passage: 2 Kings 18–19

Principle: God always will glorify His name.

Praise: “Blessed Be the Name of the Lord”

Prompt: Ask your child these questions:

  • What happened to the northern kingdom of Israel and why?
  • How did God answer Hezekiah’s prayer?

Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

  • By trusting God to do whatever will glorify His name.
  • By repenting of not glorifying God in actions and words.

This Week: As a family, read selected portions of 2 Kings 18–19.

Next Week: 2 Kings 21–25

Memory Verse: If anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. 1 Peter 4:16
