Faith Kids @ Home: March 16, 2014

The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, March 16.  We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.

God Frees Peter from Prison

Passage:  Acts 12:1–24

Principle:  The sovereign God blesses His servants but punishes His enemies.

Praise:  “Humble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord”

Prompt:  Ask your child these questions:

  • How did Peter escape from prison?
  • Why did God punish Herod?

Practice:  Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

  • By trusting God because He cares for His servants.
  • By believing that God works through prayer.

This Week:  As a family, read Acts 12:1–24.

Next Week:  Acts 15:1–35

Memory Verse:  All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
