November is here, can you believe it?! As the end of the year approaches, we here at Vision of Hope and Faith Church are entering a season we like to call Stewardship Month. It’s a time where we thoughtfully reflect upon God’s faithfulness and the resources He has entrusted to us to responsibly use to bring Him honor and reflect His glory.
We are truly seeking to cultivate hearts that overflow with gratitude and love for our Savior, and this Fall we’ve witnessed the Lord provide for His ministry and His children in some outstanding ways, most notably through the Tribute for Hope Banquet that was on October 20th.
The Tribute for Hope Banquet was a night of live music, spoken word dramas, songs and testimonies from residents, all interwoven with the theme of redemption. Each part of the program was genuine and touching, making it evident that God is alive and active here, in the lives of the VOH residents! Detective Cory Norlander and Executive Director Jocelyn Wallace both gave testimony of their interaction and support of Vision of Hope and guests viewed a video that further explained the heart of our counseling ministry. By God’s grace, there was $33,444 donated, with additional pledges still coming in! These generously donated funds will go toward the costs and expenses of running our program, so we can continue to offer our ministry to young ladies, free of financial burden.
God truly does provide for His own, and He has certainly done far more abundantly than we could ask or think. Our hope and prayer is that our hearts of thankfulness will be accurately reflected in the way in which we steward and use the monetary resources that have been given to us. Thank you to all who contributed financially, as well as to all those who volunteered their times and efforts to make this banquet possible! We are blessed, indeed!
