Addendum to “It Might Be Cancer”

Two days ago we posted an article written by Dr. Bob Smith entitled, “It might be cancer.”  In his article he describes a person who had to wait on some results knowing that there could be challenging news.

This week I am linking back to a post I originally wrote last year after I had one of these “it might be cancer” experieneces.  After my “wait” I was told I did have cancer, but by God’s grace it had been caught very, very early and so treatment was very minor.  I think it serves as additional information to what Doc already provided.  In that post, I explain a few things that helped me immensely–such as the concept of redeeming the time, gaining an eternal perspective, and how to overcome the ‘I got the raw end of the deal’ feeling. Perhaps the greatest single lesson was remembering that God wants me to both praise him in the days of blessing and the days of storm.  I hope the lessons I was learning are as benefical to you as they originally were to me.  The post was called Helping Counselees Steward Life’s checkpoints.
