Tribute to Hope Success!

Our 2015 Tribute to Hope Benefit was an opportunity to glorify the Lord this past Saturday, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! God’s name was proclaimed and held high as we sang worship songs to the Lord and heard testimonies from some of our graduates and volunteers. The theme was “Bring Praise” and that’s what each graduate and volunteer did in each aspect of the event. From food and fellowship to program, the positive impact of this event was well worth all of the hard work that went into the planning of it.

We are thankful for the many hands who worked for many hours to cook, decorate, write, practice, and otherwise prepare to make this event one of excellence as a reflection our excellent God.

A few favorite food items were the Smores cupcakes, the cookie dough cupcakes, the salami hors doerves, and the stuffed mushrooms. There were many more items to select from yet these were the favorites.

One of the impactful moments in the program was the “Nothing But Jesus” song sung by our residents and interns who recited from memory passages of Scripture verses during it. As the chorus was repeated, each time more residents would walk to the stage to join the group that was already standing and singing. Eventually, the whole stage was full with approximately 30 women singing that Jesus is all they want and now they have chosen to live only for Him. It was a powerful few moments indeed!

Beyond the amazing opportunity to glorify our Father, God also allowed us to reach our goal of $30,000.00 in raising funds to keep Vision of Hope up and running. Thank you to all who attended this event and donated to help meet our financial needs.

With this much to be thankful for, we cannot wait to see what next year’s event will bring! We are already planning some special treats in the program and in the food/fellowship portion that you will be sure to enjoy in 2016.

To God be the glory!

Bethany Dunn
Bethany heard about Vision of Hope while attending Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When she began praying about what God wanted her to do after graduating, He kept bringing Vision of Hope to her mind. Knowing that there was an internship available, Bethany applied, was accepted, and began her internship with VOH in July, 2012. Since then she has been amazed at the opportunities God has given her to learn more about His Word and how it applies to everyday life. Bethany now serves on staff at Vision of Hope.
