Shaking Hands and Making Friends

The Biblical Counseling Coalition recently posted a blog on their partnership program. The vision at the BCC is captured in the following statement: multiplying the ministry of the biblical counseling movement through collaborative relationships and robust resources. The main thrust of this post is to join in that mission by helping “multiply the ministry” and spreading the news of their “robust resources.” Here’s what I mean by that…

The folks of BCC have a very lean and efficient budget, in part because of the giving of  people who have been encouraged by the ministry (whether churches, groups, or individuals).

Giving Back

If the Biblical Counseling Coalition has been a blessing to you, would you consider becoming a BCC Partner? If you don’t know what the BCC is, or haven’t looked into their resources, I would encourage you to visit their resources page on their website.

Partnering with the BCC helps them continue to offer free resources that promote personal change centered on the Person of Christ through the personal ministry of the Word. These resources are impacting people around the globe for God’s kingdom.

The Biblical Counseling Coalition has launched the BCC Partners to create a pathway toward connection with the BCC. BCC Partners have the opportunity to show support of, benefit from, and participate in the BCC’s mission of collaborative relationships and robust resources.

Individual Partners can go here to sign up and make a contribution of just $30 per year.

Organizational Partners can go here to sign up and make a contribution of just $50 per year.

All Partners receive a unique monthly Partner Resource PDF—typically between 24 and 48 pages of resources on a biblical counseling theme/topic. Here are some examples from past PDFs:

  • June 2013: Biblical Counseling and Mental Illness
  • July 2013: Biblical Counseling, Grief, and Depression
  • August 2013: Biblical Counseling, Sexual Sin, and Pornography
  • September 2013: Equipping Biblical Counselors
  • October 2013: Biblical Counseling, Anxiety, Fear, and Worry

What If I’m Already a Partner?

If you’re already a Partner, then please send others to the BCC’s Partner Ministry Page.

And, you could always choose to donate above and beyond your yearly Partner Contribution. For easy and secure online giving (or for instructions for giving by mail) please visit the BCC Donate Page.

Recently a pastor sent in a donation to the BCC with these words of testimonial.

“I have greatly appreciated the Biblical Counseling Movement since being introduced to it about 17 years ago as I attended Faith Baptist Church (now Faith Church) in Lafayette, IN. The people involved in Biblical Counseling have encouraged me to carefully exegete Scripture and think thoughtfully through its practical application. And as I have moved into being a pastor of a church in a small town, the Biblical Counseling Coalition blogs and resources have been of great help and encouragement!”

Could This Be You?

If you relate to the testimony above, or can recall how God has changed your life through Biblical Counseling, please consider checking out the BCC partnership blog in full on their website. Prayerfully consider how you can give back and aid an organization seeking to further God’s kingdom and mission.

Thank You!

I began my internship with Vision of Hope in January 2013. In my current understanding of God’s will for my life, I am pursuing wisdom and experience to one day work with women with eating disorders. My desire is to plant my feet in truth, while reaching my arms as far as I can toward the broken and hurting. With God’s help and guidance, I hope to become a godly woman and counselor to provide Truth-based counsel rather than “evidenced-based practice.” My life verse is Ecclesiastes 5:7 which says, “For in many dreams and in many words there is emptiness. Rather, fear God."
