The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, July 16. We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.
Saul is Converted on the Road to Damascus
Read: Acts 9:1-31
Ask your child:
- What happened to Saul on the road to Damascus? Saul was blinded by a light from heaven. Jesus spoke to him, and Saul placed his faith in Christ.
- How did Saul demonstrate his faith in Jesus? Saul proclaimed Christ and urged others to follow Him.
Emphasize this principle: God can transform anyone’s life. Therefore, we should repent and seek to be used by Him.
Practice:
- Ask the Lord to use you in His service.
- Proclaim Jesus to others regardless of the cost.
Sing: “Come, Let Us Worship and Bow Down”
Prepare for next week: Acts 10:1-11:18
Memorize for Jul 16-Aug 13: “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” Romans 10:9-10*
