Faith Kids @ Home: December 2, 2012

The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, December 2.  We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.

God’s Gracious Promise to David

Passage:  2 Samuel 7

Principle:  We can rejoice and trust in God’s gracious promises.

Praise:  “God Is So Good”

Prompt:  Ask your child these questions:

  • What promise did God make to David and his family?
  • How did Jesus fulfill the promise that God made to David?

Practice:  Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

  • By trusting that God keeps His promises.
  • By thanking God for His grace toward unworthy sinners.

This Week:  As a family, read selected portions of 2 Samuel 7.

Next Week:  2 Samuel 11–12

Memory Verse:  Luke 1:32
“He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the LORD God will give Him the throne of His father David.”
