The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, August 30. We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.
God Creates a New Heaven and a New Earth
Read: Revelation 21:1-8, 22-27; 22:12-17
Ask your child:
- What will the new heavens and new earth be like? This new creation will be a place of indescribable beauty that is free from the marks of sin and evil.
- Why are Jesus’ return and the new creation encouraging to believers? When Christ returns, His followers will dwell eternally with Him in the new creation.
Emphasize this principle: God promises a glorious future for his children. Therefore, we should repent and live for that day.
Practice:
- Live for the glory of God.
- Rejoice while waiting for Christ’s return.
