Faith Kids @ Home : April 4 , 2021

The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, April 4. We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.

God Shows Mercy to Jonah and Nineveh

READ: Jonah 1-4

ASK YOUR CHILD:

• Why didn’t Jonah want to preach to Nineveh? Jonah didn’t want God to show the Ninevites mercy.

• How was God merciful to Jonah and Nineveh? God gave both the opportunity to repent.

EMPHASIZE THIS PRINCIPLE: God is merciful. Therefore, we should repent and share God’s mercy with others.

PRACTICE:

• Thank God for being merciful to sinners.

• Ask God to use you to show mercy to others.

PRAISE: “Humble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord”

PREPARE FOR NEXT WEEK: Daniel 3

MEMORIZE FOR MAR 28-MAY 2: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.” Galatians 6:7-9
