How to have a great summer? Part 1

“I’m bored.”   “My life is lame.”   “I have nothing to do.”  These are common quotes from teens after the first week of school being out,  sometimes after the first day.

Well, “DO SOMETHING”!

Do something for someone – your parents, your neighbor, your friends.  Do a work project together.  Get with a friend and help an elderly person clean his/her house or garagae.  Trim someone’s bushes (always get permission and know what you are doing).  Help landscape someone’s yard.  Clean your local park. Make cookies and take them to a nursing home.

Be creative.  You don’t have to spend a bunch of money.  But what you will find, if you do something to help someone else you – will enjoy the summer.

Philippians 2:3-4 encourages us to think of others and put them first.  Gaurantee – you put others first and genuinely serve them you will have a great summer.
