The Tragedy of Human Trafficking

Sex trafficking is a huge problem in our world. But it’s not just an over-seas problem; it’s happening in our local towns every day!

The article below tells of several accounts of teen sex trafficking in Indianapolis, Indiana – a mere hour from our town of Lafayette. Our smaller town, however, if far from being untouched by this tragedy. Reports of trafficking are coming in full force in Lafayette as well. Fellow believers, the tragic problem of sex trafficking is going on all around us. Let’s raise awareness and work to provide shelter, help, and biblical hope to the victims of this crime.

Let us all be lifting up our local law enforcement officers and judges in our prayers, as they face the difficult circumstances surrounding sex trafficking, and are faced with tough decisions on how to handle these situations.

Bethany Dunn
Bethany heard about Vision of Hope while attending Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When she began praying about what God wanted her to do after graduating, He kept bringing Vision of Hope to her mind. Knowing that there was an internship available, Bethany applied, was accepted, and began her internship with VOH in July, 2012. Since then she has been amazed at the opportunities God has given her to learn more about His Word and how it applies to everyday life. Bethany now serves on staff at Vision of Hope.
