An incredible blessing we love to see is when one of our interns or residents get so fired up about the work that God is doing in their lives that they share it with everyone they come in contact with. It is reminiscent of John 4:28-30 where the woman at the well is excited about learning the true identity of Jesus:
So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city and said to the men, “Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it?” They went out of the city, and were coming to Him.
Her enthusiasm was contagious and she spread it to others who began to come to Jesus themselves! That’s what we all want to see in the work of the ministry: changed lives telling others seeking changed lives about the Changer of lives: Jesus!
A similar thing happened last year and this year during Race for Hope in the United Kingdom! One of our residents inspired her family to host a Race for Hope in the UK, raising money to support the ministry all the way from the UK. They even created homemade chocolates to commemorate the event (see featured picture)! It was cool to think that there was a Race for Hope event overseas that reminded every participant of the faithfulness of Christ. It was a unique way to share the message of the Gospel and its power to transform lives!
We are so thankful for our friends in the UK and around the world who are working to support this ministry and more importantly, to make this message of the transforming power of Christ known to all nations.
