One of the truths of Scripture that seems contradictory but isn’t has to do with giving. Acts 20:35 is well known and states:
In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
At Vision of Hope, we emphasize giving and serving. We want our residents, interns, and staff to cheerfully serve others. We want to serve our community well and reach into the world to help with issues such as human trafficking and orphaned children. It is good to help those who are in poverty and in spiritual poverty with limited access to the Gospel.
A simple way you can prayerfully consider giving to VOH so that we can help hurting and hardened young women is by sponsoring a runner on one of the teams on our donation page. We ask each team captain to raise $1,000.00 in support and it would greatly bless them if you prayerfully considered contributing to their efforts. Our motivation for working hard to raise financial support is because the Gospel is true, and because we want others to know that God offers hope!
We are excited Race for Hope 2015 as we seek to use this as an opportunity to reach our community with the message of the Gospel preached by the Faith Bible Seminary students and the power of Christ to transform young women’s lives at Vision of Hope!
