Race For Reconciliation

Faith Church is pleased to welcome Dr. A. Charles Ware, President of Crossroads Bible College and noted Indianapolis urban leader to speak on the topic; “Why Should I Care About Racial Reconciliation.” Dr. Ware will provide the morning message over six services at the Faith East and Faith West campuses on Sunday morning, February 2, 2014.

“We are looking forward to Dr. Ware speaking to our church on the relevant topic of racial reconciliation. Having diverse ministries come together across cultural differences, based on God’s Word, is critical to effectively loving our community,” noted Steve Viars, Faith’s Senior Pastor. “Our annual theme is ‘Loving Our Neighbors.’ Having Dr. Ware speak to us at this time is a logical part of us being purposeful and effective in our community outreach.”
A. Charles Ware is President of Crossroads Bible College (1991-present). Dr. Ware served as a pastor for 20 years in Pennsylvania and Maryland. He was Founder/Administrator of Bethel Bible Christian School. Ware is co-founder of the Voice of Biblical Reconciliation, a board member of the Association of Baptist for World Evangelism, and The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). Among the books he has authored are: Prejudice and the People of God, Reuniting the Family of God; Building Unity In The Church Of A New Millennium, and Called To Lead: Wisdom For The Next Generation Of African American Leaders.

Rachel Bailey
I began my internship with Vision of Hope in January 2013. In my current understanding of God’s will for my life, I am pursuing wisdom and experience to one day work with women with eating disorders. My desire is to plant my feet in truth, while reaching my arms as far as I can toward the broken and hurting. With God’s help and guidance, I hope to become a godly woman and counselor to provide Truth-based counsel rather than “evidenced-based practice.” My life verse is Ecclesiastes 5:7 which says, “For in many dreams and in many words there is emptiness. Rather, fear God."
