At Faith, our children’s Sunday School classes use the Generations of Grace curriculum, which is published by the church where John MacArthur serves as pastor. Most of our leaders, teachers, and parents love the curriculum because of its theological depth.
The depth of the curriculum is wonderful in a lot of ways, but it also creates some challenges. Many lessons contain so much Bible content that it can be challenging for a teacher to figure out which teaching and application points ought to be emphasized in a given lesson.
For some time, our leaders have been thinking about ways to assist both teachers and parents as they discuss each week’s lesson with their kids. In addition to the Wednesday night Adult Bible Fellowship we hold, which features an in-depth, adult discussion of each week’s lesson, we’re also going to begin regularly sharing ideas about the lessons through video.
Check out my thoughts about this week’s Sunday School lesson in this video on the Last Supper.
