God Punishes Jeroboam
Passage: 1 Kings 12:1–33; 14:1–18
Principle: Christians enjoy the blessings of obedience to God’s Word.
Praise: “Humble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord”
Prompt: Ask your child these questions:
- What were the consequences of Jeroboam’s disobedience?
- What were the consequences of Jeroboam’s sin?
Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:
- By rejoicing in that God blesses those who humbly obey His Word.
- By realizing that God punishes those who disobey His Word.
