Since graduating from Faith in 2009, I have learned to be thankful for every situation God has presented to me along the way. I went to Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Chemistry (and music minor) in July 2012. Right now, I am planning to take at least a 1-year break from school; and I am currently in a transition stage. I am planning to apply to medical schools and Physician Assistant schools. Honestly, I am still trying to figure out which direction I would like to go. Until then, I am working as an ER Scribe at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Aside from schooling, I have been able to make some great, lifelong friends. I am thankful for my time at Faith where my core values/beliefs were proven true; I can say that I have grown in my walk with the Lord since May 2009. I have learned the hard way that God must always be first priority in my life, and He adds everything else that He deems right in the process.
In the future, I hope to have a successful career, my own family, and an immovable faith. I am content to wait for however long is necessary until God decides that I am ready for those things. I have to daily surrender my plans and dreams to God; His ways and His thoughts are better than mine are. I am honored to be a Faith alumnus, and I am thankful for the time that I had there.
