What are we trying to accomplish with our teens? Part 2

What do you want your teen to look like–to “be”, when he or she graduates from high school?  And what are you doing now to help your teen become what you want him or her to be?

Key characteristic 2 is “Pursuit of Holiness”.  I don’t think any of us want our teen to pursue negative things like drugs, alcohol, gangs, hate, violence, arrogance, immorality. However, I think many believe they have succeeded in parenting if their teen has not pursued these things, but has pursued “good” things, like success, fame, money, showing kindness, making sound ethical decisions, family, and so on.  Is there more?  And how do you know when some or any of the “good things” really are not good?  What should we train our teens to pursue?  I would suggest “holiness”.  This video will help.
