Best of mornings, Faithful Blog Readers; and good morning to you, first timers! In all seriousness, I welcome you to the blog whether you\u2019re reading for the first time or a seasoned veteran. <\/span><\/p>\n

When I was recruited to write the VOH blog for the next 6 months, a surge of excitement burst from my heart, making its way like my bloodstream down my appendages until my fingertips were tingling. In other words, I\u2019m pretty well blessed to be typing these words. Thank you for supporting Vision of Hope, and me in tandem as I learn to be a servant leader and administer of God\u2019s grace. <\/span><\/p>\n

With all that said, I have a vision that accompanies my excitement concerning what this blog can become. I believe that this blog can be a great resource, help, and source of joy and peace to many in our Lafayette community, as well as people around the nation and around the globe. I would much appreciate your help in spreading the word, making Vision of Hope and God\u2019s work known to your friends, family, and connections. Together we can collectively proclaim His excellencies:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the ideas I have for the blog is to publish a series based on the morning classes the residents of Vision of Hope attend each morning with Vision of Hope director, Pastor Mark Shaw. My hope is to capture in blog form the message and teachings, as well as discussions and questions, presented each morning class I am able to attend. I hope by doing this that I can add numerous \u201cvirtual participants\u201d to our class times, and that you could \u201csit in\u201d on class with us simply by opening your web browser! <\/span><\/p>\n

If this interest you, be on the lookout for the \u201cClass Time\u201d series. I plan to publish the first installment by the end of this week! Each post in the series will have the tagline \u201cclasstime,\u201d to making searching for the series fluid and simple. I hope that you\u2019ll join us with your computer, notebook, Bible, and heart. <\/span><\/p>\n
