\"\"<\/a>Vision of Hope is going through a period of change and transitions. From making simple changes\u00a0to our daily schedule to welcoming in our new Executive Director, Pastor Shaw, change is happening, and it is good! God\u2019s good plan is very evident in our case, but in some cases it can be challenging keep ourselves from becoming\u00a0overwhelmed by times of transition and uncertainty. So how can we\u00a0keep our thoughts captive and obedient to Christ during difficult times of
\ntransition and change?<\/p>\n

As always, it\u2019s all about the heart. When we struggle with unsettling feelings and anxiety during times of change, we need to examine the heart. Ask yourself why you feel unsettled. If you are fearful of the unknown \u2013 of what you cannot control \u2013 take heart! The Creator of the universe is sovereign, and nothing surprises Him. He is in complete control of every change and transition period in our lives. Psalm 139:1-6 states:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have searched me, <\/em>Lord<\/em>,<\/em> and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

God knows us. Intimately and passionately, He knows\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>us! He knows what is happening in our lives, and what will happen in the future. And He is so trustworthy. Our God is characterized by great goodness, love, and wisdom. We know this because He has proved Himself time and time again. Joseph serves as a great example of\u00a0someone who believed this wholeheartedly when he stated, \u201cBut as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good\u201d (Genesis 50:20)<\/em><\/p>\n

God\u2019s ways are ALWAYS good, wise, pure, and just. As we make our transitions here at VOH, this is very evident. Watching Pastor Shaw step in and join our team causes all of us to praise the Lord for providing a wise and godly man to lead this ministry. But as we all go through difficult transitions in which there is more of a challenge to stay positive, let us have faith and trust in our Lord\u2019s sovereign plan and His goodness. We can enjoy the
\npeace of God as we rest in His arms, believing that He is in control and we don\u2019t have to be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
