In a previous blog, we were reminded through Isaiah 40:27-31 that although our human bodies grow tired and weary, God never does. He is always active and working in our lives, and we can trust that He is stronger than any difficulty we face in this life.<\/p>\n

In this blog, we will examine the latter half of this passage and see how it impacts our everyday lives.<\/p>\n

Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel,<\/strong> \u201cMy way is\u00a0hidden from the\u00a0Lord, and the\u00a0justice due me\u00a0escapes the notice of\u00a0my God\u201d? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the\u00a0Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is\u00a0inscrutable. He gives strength to the\u00a0weary, and to\u00a0him who<\/em>\u00a0lacks might He\u00a0increases power. Though\u00a0youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous\u00a0young men stumble badly, yet those who\u00a0wait for the\u00a0Lord will\u00a0gain new strength; They will\u00a0mount up\u00a0with<\/em>\u00a0wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our annual Race for Hope fundraising event is coming up on June 10th. This event offers a 5k walk, 5k timed run, or 10k certified timed run. When I think of an example of even youths and those considered “strong” by the world’s standards becoming tired, I think of our 10k race. The course of our 10k includes some serious inclines, one of which some have dubbed “the hill of death.”<\/p>\n

Through\u00a0tough physical challenges,\u00a0even the most athletic person will eventually grow tired and weary. Through trials, we sometimes we grow weary physically, mentally, or emotionally. Thankfully, the Bible offers much hope in these circumstances. According to this passage in Isaiah, God Himself supplies strength to us in our deepest need when we seek Him and wait on Him to act.<\/p>\n

We don’t have to go through the trials of this life alone. In fact, we were never\u00a0created to do so!\u00a0Believers are to lean on our ever-strong God and cry out to Him for help, and He promises to provide everything we need to withstand the trial and have victory.<\/p>\n
