\"\"<\/a>I have been working for Vision of Hope since December of 2007.\u00a0 It has been so exciting to see God grow this ministry not only numerically but spiritually during this time.\u00a0 I am the Household Manager and also fill the role of Counselor. I oversee the menu planning, food purchasing, cleaning and overall running of the home.\u00a0 Our ladies actually do the cooking and cleaning and the interns are the ones that make sure things are done according to the standards that were set.\u00a0 I also currently counsel 7 of our residents.\u00a0 Some weekly and some bi-weekly. There are many things they are required to do each week prior to meeting for counseling.<\/p>\n

I am married with 4 grown children.\u00a0 We have 2 boys and 2 girls.\u00a0 Our boys live in Chicago and Indianapolis and the girls are attending college.\u00a0 My husband is also involved in Faith\u2019s counseling ministry and serves as a Deacon for the church.\u00a0 Both my husband and I love to study scripture and continue to learn more and more about what God says about how we can be growing and changing. Our family enjoys vacationing in places with some type of water activity.\u00a0 We just got back from The Lake of the Ozarks and really enjoyed spending time fishing, swimming, jet skiing and boating.<\/p>\n

God has taught me so much about Himself and His word during the time I have worked here.\u00a0 I have learned that He is absolutely the only one that can change a heart.\u00a0 I have also learned how very powerful God\u2019s Word is in the transformation process. The word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword and it is what is needed to discern the thoughts and intents of the inner man.\u00a0 We get to see every day God taking His word and changing people by its power.\u00a0 I have also learned that people can reject God\u2019s word. I have had to learn that even Jesus Himself who had all authority was rejected so I shouldn\u2019t be shocked when my counsel from God\u2019s word is not embraced.\u00a0 I am so grateful to be working here and I remind myself frequently of I Corinthians 15:58 which says Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor is not in vain in the Lord.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
