It’s shocking, but then again it isn’t. This week, law enforcement in Tippecanoe County raided a home on Bluegrass Circle in the subdivision of Lexington Farms (that’s less than a mile from Vision of Hope, Faith Christian School, and Faith Church!). \nIt took over 9 hours for the officials to clear out the debris of pre-meth products, paraphernalia, and suspected meth; securing the home and making the neighborhood safe.<\/p>\n

Originally, it wasn’t suspected drug dealing that tipped the police off, it was the Department of Child Services. There were hints of a 2 year old child potentially being in danger in the home. The child was in the custody of DCS last night, and three people from the Bluegrass home were arrested. That is not unusual: a child is put into danger by irresponsible choices of parents and the government gets involved.<\/p>\n

While we are saddened by this news from our police department who serve so faithfully and observed that meth is \u201crampant in the community,\u201d we are not without hope. We believe in a God who is still in the business of transforming willing hearts which is why we offer free biblical counseling to the community through Faith Church. It is also why we offer affordable, residential care to young women enslaved to all types of addictions. We want to offer solutions to Tippecanoe County and exist to serve the surrounding area.<\/p>\n

Romans 15:13<\/span><\/strong> summarizes our beliefs: \u201cMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Let confidence in God\u2019s power encourage you today: He has the power to transform broken people into hopeful people through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, even when sin and danger are exposed in your neighborhood.<\/p>\n
