If we are not careful, we will wrongly judge counselees since we do not see their hearts. We can incorrectly judge them because of a lack of Christian love and shortsighted biblical discernment. The good news is that Scripture abundantly describes the human spiritual condition. It is possible to grow in a biblical and sanctified \u201cintuition,\u201d not as a Christian specialist who deals with sin but with a goal of getting to know the counselee to love them with the right and needed approach. At his blog, he is posting testimonies from Christians about their ministry to abuse victims. In today\u2019s post, <em>How a Pastor\u2019s Wife Came to Care About Domestic Abuse<\/em>, the writer shares how she came to realize that she had grown up in an abusive home. Her \u201ctunnel vision\u201d (as she describes it, had blinded her to her own abuse history).
