I love this turkey because it is just so unique. A bonus is that manipulating the beans and pasta is great for strengthening small motor skills. If you wanted to take it a step further, you could frame it and display it year after year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3197\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221326\/craft2-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221326\/craft2-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221326\/craft2.png 383w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. This adorable little guy can bring a hint of nature to your Thanksgiving table. You could even write names on a leaf of each one and use them as place cards. Who doesn\u2019t cherish a handprint turkey from their little one?\u00a0So cute!\u00a0These next two would both be great either framed or laminated and used as placemats!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3194\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221312\/craft5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"146\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3193\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221310\/craft6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"187\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<p>5. &amp; 6. Then there\u2019s also the classic thankful turkey.\u00a0 These are such a great way to tie in the purpose of the holiday.\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t it be fun to do one every year and see how the things they are thankful for change?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3192\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221308\/craft7-300x292.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"263\" srcset=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221308\/craft7-300x292.png 300w, https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221308\/craft7.png 356w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>7. If you want something similar to a handprint turkey but with a twist, you can make a footprint turkey. I love this one with the colorful feathers. Indian corn brings a remembrance of harvest blessings to the Thanksgiving holiday.\u00a0Small manipulatives are always great for strengthening fine motor skills in preschoolers.\u00a0 Providing them with a variety of colors and textures also helps to develop their senses.\u00a0Here, colorful buttons are used to create the pieces of corn.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3188\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221304\/craft11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"162\" height=\"154\" \/><\/p>\n<p>11 This is by far my favorite corn craft because it combines counting with crafting!\u00a0 They can either glue the candy on as they count, or you could not glue them and use it over and over again for counting practice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3187\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221303\/craft-12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"118\" height=\"177\" \/><\/p>\n<p>12. This super simple corn shaker is sure to be a hit with the little music-makers!\u00a0 You could even throw in some confetti for a little color.\u00a0 Just remember to glue the lid on so you don\u2019t end up having more to clean up than dinner dishes!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3186\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221302\/craft13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"126\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>13. Here is a colorful wreath to greet your guests.\u00a0 While this craft is a little more time-consuming than most, I love the finished product!The corn is painted using tempera paint and bubble wrap.\u00a0 How fun is that?\u00a0 The simple v-shaped leaves are added, then layered onto a wreath-shaped piece of cardboard.\u00a0 Finish it off with a piece of ribbon or twine for hanging.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3185\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221302\/craft14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3184\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221301\/craft15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" \/><\/p>\n<p>14. &amp; 15. This last corn craft may end up being made at my house.\u00a0 Start by attaching toothpicks or corn cob holders onto the ends of a raw ear of corn.\u00a0 Roll through different colors of paint, then roll them onto a sheet of paper.\u00a0 You can either leave their painting \u201cas is,\u201d or cut and paste it into another shape as shown above.<\/p>\n<p>Next, I\u2019ll move on to crafts that highlight the fall season with leaves and acorns.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3183\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221300\/craft16.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p>16. This is such a great idea for your Thanksgiving table.\u00a0 Go outside and gather some leaves, paint them, and use them to print a tablecloth.\u00a0 You can either use tempera paint and a paper tablecloth, or even better, fabric paint and a real tablecloth!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3182\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221300\/craft17.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>17. Beautiful sun-catchers are made using torn up tissue paper and cold laminating pouches.\u00a0 Kids will love ripping up the tissue paper!\u00a0 Then you can help them layer it between the top and bottom of a laminating pouch.\u00a0 Press the two sides together and cut into leaf shapes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3181\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221259\/craft18.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"117\" height=\"176\" \/><\/p>\n<p>18. After spending some time outdoors gathering leaves, hand your preschooler some paint, a larger paint brush, and a large piece of paper or poster board.\u00a0 This type of painting, where an object leaves a void, not only creates a beautiful picture but also shows your child a different perspective.\u00a0 Usually, where they put paint is the picture they are creating instead of where they didn\u2019t put paint.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3180\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221258\/craft19.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"119\" height=\"179\" \/><\/p>\n<p>19. These\u00a0leaf people are just fun and quirky.\u00a0 They definitely allow your preschooler to be imaginative.\u00a0 I encourage you to do a search online for leaf people because there are so many to choose from!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3179\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221258\/craft20.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"115\" height=\"144\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3178\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221257\/craft21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"140\" \/><\/p>\n<p>20. &amp; 21. I like this fingerprint tree because it uses the child\u2019s hand for branches.\u00a0But just look what they have done here with the all-season tree!\u00a0 It makes me wish my kids were little again so we could create one!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3177\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221257\/craft22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"115\" height=\"153\" \/><\/p>\n<p>22. The acorn&#8230;\u00a0 I like the idea of an acorn craft because we see so many turkeys and leaves done that the acorn gives you something unique.\u00a0 You or your preschooler can cut out a simple acorn shape, then rip up tissue paper, scrunch it, and glue.\u00a0 These would also make adorable name markers for your table.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3176\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221256\/craft23.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"138\" \/><\/p>\n<p>23. Now, let\u2019s not forget about those Pilgrims!\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t already, I would encourage you to tell your kids the story of the \u201cFirst Thanksgiving.\u201d\u00a0 I was taught so many false things about the Pilgrims, Native Americans, and their feast growing up that I seriously thought that was when the Thanksgiving holiday started.\u00a0 There are truly some wonderfully lessons to be learned about that time in our nations history that we tend to think of when we celebrate Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3175\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221256\/craft24.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"153\" \/><\/p>\n<p>24. Now, I have seen a lot of cute handprint crafts, but this one is absolutely adorable!\u00a0These plastic cup pilgrim hats are another great idea for place markers or centerpieces.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3174\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-blog-assets.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/20171112221255\/craft25.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"162\" height=\"134\" \/><\/p>\n<p>25. What a couple of cute faces to greet your guests at the door!
