God Promises Blessings or Cursings<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Passage: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Deuteronomy 11:8\u201317; 28:20<\/span><\/p>\n

Principle: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>God blesses obedience and punishes disobedience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Praise:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>\u201cTrust and Obey\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Prompt: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • What did Israel have to do to receive God\u2019s blessing?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What would happen if Israel disobeyed God?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How did God promise to bless or curse Israel?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How can you be obedient to God?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Are there consequences for disobedience today?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Practice: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • By demonstrating his love for God through obedience to His Word.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By remembering God\u2019s blessings and mercies.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By memorizing God\u2019s Word.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By honoring God in all he does.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
