God Calls Israel to Love through Obedience<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Passage: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Deuteronomy 6:4\u20139<\/span><\/p>\n

Principle: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>God calls us to meditate on and obey His Word.<\/span><\/p>\n

Praise: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u201cI Love You, Lord\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Prompt: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • How was Israel to love God?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What were parents to teach their children?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How can we apply God\u2019s Word to our lives?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Should anything be more important to us than God?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Practice: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • By memorizing Scripture to mediate on throughout the day.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By applying the truth of God\u2019s Word to his life today.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By checking his heart to make sure nothing has taken God\u2019s place.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
