We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Gives Jericho to Israel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong>\u00a0Joshua 6<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What happened when the people of Israel shouted? <em>The walls of Jericho fell.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why did God bring down the walls of Jericho in this way? <em>To bring glory to Himself and to demonstrate that He gives victory to those who trust and obey Him.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:\u00a0<\/strong>God uses our obedience to accomplish his will. Therefore, we should trust and obey Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remember that difficult situations are opportunities for God to glorify Himself.<\/li>\n<li>Obey the Lord and trust Him for the results.<\/li>\n<li>Repent and flee to Christ to escape righteous God\u2019s judgment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cTrust and Obey\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Read\u00a0Judges 1-3<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for Dec 8-Dec 29:<\/strong> \u201cFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that<strong> whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.\u201d John 3:16<\/strong>*<\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, December 21.
