We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Jesus\u2019 Death and Resurrection<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong>\u00a0Matthew 27:27-28:20<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why was the death of Jesus important? <em>Through His death, Jesus made full payment for the sins of humanity.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why was the resurrection of Christ important? <em>Jesus\u2019 resurrection proved that He had defeated sin and death.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:\u00a0<\/strong>Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. Therefore, we should rejoice and embrace Him as Lord.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Praise God for Christ\u2019s sacrifice.<\/li>\n<li>Follow Jesus as Lord.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cHow Great Thou Art\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Acts 1:1-11; 2:1-47<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for June 1-22: <\/strong><strong>\u201cGo therefore and make disciples of all the nations<\/strong>, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.\u201d <strong>Matthew 28:19<\/strong>-20*<\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, June 22.
