Jesus Forgives Sin<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Read:<\/span><\/b> Matthew 9:2-8<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • How did Jesus\u2019 power to heal prove His authority to forgive? <\/span>Only God has the authority to forgive sins. When Jesus healed the paralytic, he performed a miracle, which proved that He is God.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Why did the people glorify God after seeing Jesus\u2019 miracles? <\/span>They were amazed that Jesus had the authority to both heal and forgive.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle: <\/span><\/b>Jesus is God. Therefore, we should trust Him to forgive our sins.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Practice:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Believe that Jesus has the authority to forgive sin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Embrace Jesus as Lord.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Praise God for providing salvation to Christ\u2019s followers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
