John Calls the Disciples<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Read:<\/span><\/b> Matthew 4:12-25<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • What did Jesus ask His disciples to do? <\/span>\u201cFollow Me.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What did Jesus say He would make His disciples? <\/span>Fishers of men.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What was Jesus\u2019 message? <\/span>\u201cRepent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle: <\/span><\/b>Jesus calls people to Himself. Therefore, we should follow Him and urge others to do the same.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Practice:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Praise God for calling sinners into a relationship with Him.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Embrace Jesus as Lord and obey His Word.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Cultivate a relationship with Jesus through Bible study and prayer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Share the hope Jesus offers with others.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
