Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Who became leader of Israel after Solomon?<\/span> Rehoboam<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What happened when Rehoboam increased the labor of the 10 northern tribes? <\/span>The kingdom was divided into two nations\u2014Israel and Judah.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Who became leader of the new northern nation? <\/span>Jeroboam<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How did Jeroboam sin? <\/span>He led Israel into greater idolatry.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What were the consequences of Jeroboam sin? <\/span>His son died, his dynasty was ended, and Israel would eventually be exiled.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle:<\/span><\/b> God blesses obedience and judges rebellion. Therefore, we should obey.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
