Read:<\/span><\/b>\u202f1 Samuel 16-17<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Why did God select David to be Israel\u2019s next king? <\/span>David was a man after God\u2019s own heart.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How did David defend God\u2019s honor? <\/span>David fought Goliath, who mocked Israel and its God.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle:\u202f<\/span><\/b>God does amazing things with hearts that belong to him. Therefore, we should live for His glory.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Practice:\u202f<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Examine your heart and learn what pleases the Lord.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
