The King Is Born<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Read:<\/span><\/b>\u202fMatthew 1:1-2:12<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • What does Jesus\u2019 name mean? \u201c<\/span>The Lord will save.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Why did God come to earth as a man? <\/span>Jesus came to save His people from their sin.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Who were the magi? <\/span>Scholars who were likely descended from Israelites exiled during the Babylonian captivity.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • What did the magi do when they came to Jesus. <\/span>The worshiped Him and presented Him with gifts.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Emphasize this principle:\u202f<\/span><\/b>Jesus is the Messiah. Therefore, we should rejoice and draw near to him.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Practice:\u202f<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      • Thank God for sending Jesus to rescue sinful men.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Worship and devote yourself to Jesus.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
