Israel Rejects God\u2019s Plan<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Read:<\/span><\/b>\u202fNumbers 13-14<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Why did Moses send spies into Canaan? <\/span>God was giving them an opportunity to trust Him in the face of challenges.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What kind of report did the spies bring back? <\/span>Ten spies urged the Israelites turn back. Two spies urged the Israelites to trust God and take the land.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Which spies trusted the Lord? <\/span>Joshua and Caleb<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How did God punish the Israelites? <\/span>The Israelites would wander in the wilderness until everyone over 20 died.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle:\u202f<\/span><\/b>God deserves our faith. Therefore we should trust Him and obey.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Practice:\u202f<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Thank God for His promises.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Obey God\u2019s instructions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Trust that God\u2019s plan is best.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
