God Ordains the Sacrificial System<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Read:<\/span><\/b>\u202fLeviticus 1-7<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • What types of offerings did the Israelites give to God? <\/span>Burnt, grain, peace, and sin offerings<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Why did the Israelites offer sacrifices? <\/span>By offering sacrifices, God\u2019s people acknowledged their sin and displayed a desire for fellowship with God.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How was the worshiper forgiven? <\/span>Out of mercy, God allowed an animal to die instead of the sinner.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Who was the perfect sacrifice?<\/span> Jesus Christ<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle:\u202f<\/span><\/b>Fellowship with God requires sacrifice. Therefore, we should repent and draw near to Him.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Practice:\u202f<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Trust Jesus who took your punishment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Obey God and His Word<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
