God Sends Plagues and Ordains the Passover<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Read:<\/span><\/b> Exodus 7-13<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • How did God redeem His people from bondage in Egypt? <\/span>He sent 10 plagues.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Why were the plagues necessary? <\/span>Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go. God wanted to show His power to the Israelites, Egyptians & world.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What is Passover? <\/span>A feast celebrating God\u2019s mercy when the angel of the Lord \u201cpassed over\u201d the Israelites\u2019 homes while bringing judgment on the Egyptians.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What is mercy? <\/span>God withholds the punishment that one deserves<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0 God redeems His people from bondage.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Therefore, we should surrender our lives to Him.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Practice:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Praise God for His redeeming people from bondage.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Trust God by quickly obeying and repenting.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Sing: <\/span><\/b>\u201cGo Down Moses\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Prepare for next week:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0 Read Exodus 14-15<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Memorize Oct 15-Nov 5<\/span><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>\u201cEvery\u202fperson is to be in\u202fsubjection to the governing authorities.
