We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday&#8217;s lesson with your family.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\">God Ordains the Sacrificial System<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Passage:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Leviticus 1\u20137<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Principle:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>God\u2019s holiness requires a sacrifice for sin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Praise:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>\u201cTrust and Obey\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Prompt:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">What types of offerings did the Israelites give to God?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Why did the Israelites offer sacrifices?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">How was the worshiper forgiven?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Who is the perfect sacrifice?.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Practice:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">By trusting Jesus to take his punishment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">By living a holy life by obeying parents and leaders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">By praising God by giving Him the best effort and attitude.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>This Week:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>As a family, read Leviticus 1\u20137.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Next Week:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Leviticus 9:22\u201310:7<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Key Verse:<span style=\"font-family: Optima\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Leviticus 1:4<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u201cThen he shall put his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children&#8217;s Sunday School classes on Sunday, May 6.
