Read<\/span><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>Genesis 11:1\u20139<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • What did God command the people to do? <\/span>Be fruitful, multiply, and spread out across the earth<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Why did the people build the tower? <\/span>To make a name for themselves<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Why did God confuse the languages? <\/span>To limit their capacity for rebellion<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Emphasize this principle<\/span><\/b>: <\/span><\/b>God opposes the proud. Therefore, we should humble ourselves and obey.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Practice<\/span><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Turn from pride.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Humbly obey the Lord.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
