We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Ordains and Fills the Tabernacle<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong>\u00a0Exodus 25-31, 40<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What was the purpose of the tabernacle? <em>It was the place where Israel worshipped God and God dwelled among His people.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why did God tell the Israelites to build the tabernacle? <em>God wanted close fellowship with His people.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why were sacrifices offered? <em>Sacrifices served as payment for sin.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Where did God\u2019s presence dwell in the tabernacle? <em>The mercy seat above the ark.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What is mercy? <em>God withholds the punishment we deserve.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:\u00a0<\/strong><em>God dwells with His people. Therefore, we should repent and obey Him.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Repent of your sin and turn to Christ.<\/li>\n<li>Rejoice that faith in Jesus allows God to dwell in us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sing: <\/strong>\u201cHoly, Holy, Holy\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong> Read Leviticus 1-7<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for Oct 30-Dec 4:<\/strong> <strong>\u201cAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,<\/strong> who have been called according to his purpose.
