Judas Betrays Jesus<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Passage: \u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Matthew 26:1\u201319, 36\u201350<\/span><\/p>\n

Principle:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>People deny or betray Jesus with sinful attitudes and actions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Praise:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>\u201cLord, I Lift Your Name on High\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Prompt:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Who did and did not reject Jesus?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How did Judas betray Jesus?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What did the disciples do in the Garden of Gethsemane?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • What had Jesus asked them to do?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Why was Jesus sad in the Garden of Gethsemane?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Practice:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • By showing that he loves Jesus by obeying Him.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By remembering that sin is a rejection of Jesus.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By thanking Jesus for being faithful even when people reject Him.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
